It will be a case of building upon their terrific midweek win at Mansfield Town for York City as promotion rivals AFC Wimbledon arrive at Bootham Crescent this weekend. Manager Martin Foyle is again expected to be without midfielders Alex Lawless and Chris Carruthers, both of whom were nevertheless due to return to training on Friday. Aside from that pair the hosts have no other major injury concerns, although fellow schemer Levi Mackin misses out as he completes a two-match suspension. Foyle has recently added Jamie Clarke, Paul Harsley and midweek match-winner Courtney Pitt (right) into the mix, and was full of praise for the trio ahead of the Dons' arrival.“Clarkey did a fantastic job at Mansfield having been a bit leggy and tired at Altrincham because he hasn’t played a lot of football," Foyle told The Press.“Paul Harsley can run all day and plays a bit like (York assistant manager) Andy Porter did. He gets your team playing and settles things down at the right times.“If you feed Courtney the ball, as well, he has the ability to beat people. He has a spark we’ve probably been lacking," he continued.“I felt we had to change things and now we’ve got Adam Smith, another player who can excite, champing at the bit in the background.” Wimbledon will be heading north without their 23-goal leading scorer Danny Kedwell, while Nathan Elder, Steven Gregory, Will Hendry and Danny Blanchett also miss out. However, Brett Johnson is back in contention and Luke Moore, Glenn Poole and Jon Main have also recovered from illness and injuries and appear ready to start.
