York City take on current leaders AFC Wimbledon at Bootham Cresent tonight looking to recover from their disappointing defeat against Southport at the weekend. The Minstermen are without suspended centre-back David McGurk after he was sent-off at Haig Avenue. Neil Barrett is still ruled out by injury while fellow midfielder Jonathan Smith returns from a two-mach ban.Deadline signings Scott Kerr and Liam Darville (right) are both in the squad, where they are joined by recent loan recruit Will Hatfield from Leeds United. AFC Wimbledon are without injured trio Sammy Moore, Ed Harris and Kirk Hudson, while winger Rashid Yussuff is doubtful. Brett Johnson is almost ready to resume after five months on the sidelines with injury. "Wimbledon have done fantastically well," York boss Gary Mills told The Press. "They`ve had a good start and maintained it, which has probably surprised people a bit but some tend to forget they are a big club with a fan base of 3,500. "They also have a good goalscorer who continues to score goals but this is a great opportunity for us to show what we can do."
