York City 2 Solihull Moors 2

York City scrambled a fortunate late draw and now face an FA Trophy first round replay at Blue Square North Solihull Moors on Tuesday evening.

The Minstermen appeared ready to leave the competition until deep into injury-time when with goalkeeper Michael Ingham already sent forward for a late corner, substitute Adriano Moké floated in a hopeful long ball spilled under challenge by Moors keeper Jasbir Singh and Jon Challinor [right] poked into an empty net.Solihull had earlier taken a shock third-minute lead as former Derby County striker Lee Morris ghosted between Challinor and Matty Blair and crossed for Jordan Fitzpatrick to crash in from close-range.York were back level only three minutes later when Danny Pilkington offered an easy header for Blair at the far post. Pilkington then missed a great chance after being put through by Patrick McLaughlin and Singh produced a fine low save to keep out Jamal Fyfield.Richard Walker soon headed over at the opposite end when he really should have scored before then being allowed plenty of space to drill the visitors back in front from the edge of the area just before the break. Moors could even have had a third goal midway through the second period when Jordan English struck an effort against the right-hand post, and ex-Aston Villa striker Walker also steered another chance wide before the home side were denied a clear penalty when Blair's shot was blatantly handled close to the line.York City: Ingham, Challinor, McGurk, Fyfield, Meredith (Parslow 81), Kerr, Boucaud (Ashikodi 39), McLaughlin, Blair, Walker, Pilkington (Moké 64)subs (unused): Smith, Potts  Goals: Blair (6), Challinor (90)Solihull Moors: Singh, Midworth, Spencer, Pierpoint, Langdon (Melligan 14, Francis 87), English, Fitzpatrick, Hurren, Blackwood, Morris, Walker (Johnson 87)Goals: Fitzpatrick (3), Walker (41)Ref: A.
