York City slipped to a narrow defeat against Championship newcomers Hull City in their pre-season opener at Bootham Crescent. A single header from Gabonese striker Daniel Cousin following a late free-kick delivered by Hungarian international Péter Halmosi was all that eventually separated the two sides in front of a two-thousand-plus attendance.
