Walker speculation dismissed by Luton

Luton Town assistant manager Alan Neilson has dismissed speculation that striker Jason Walker is about to sign for York City. The 27-year-old remains a long-time target of York boss Gary Mills, who originally tried to sign him from Barrow in October before he eventually joined the Hatters. Walker has since found opportunities rather limited at Kenilworth Road but still managed to find the net seventeen times last season, which was four fewer than for the previous campaign."That`s the first I've heard of it," Neilson told Luton Today. "I've met with the gaffer, but we haven't spoken about any offers for our players."There's been no speculation about any of our players at all and of course we want to keep as many players as we can," he added. "He [Walker] played the majority of the games and in a lot of the games he did very well, so he's a part of our squad."The Minstermen are still keen to increase their attacking options despite already bringing in Ashley Chambers, Liam Henderson and Matty Blair during the summer.
