Striker available for right offer

York City boss Gary Mills will release striker George Purcell if the right offer comes along. The 23-year-old former Ebbsfleet United forward has managed only a solitary substitute appearance since joining the Minstermen from Braintree Town last summer. He suffered an early broken leg during his time at Bootham Crescent and eventually finished the campaign on loan at relegated Eastbourne Borough after a similar spell with Dartford. Purcell currently has another year remaining on his contract at York but could still leave the club."I`ve had a chat with George and, if a club comes along that`s right for him and for us because we paid a fee for him, then I would consider letting him move on," Mills told The Press."He was injured when I came to the club and then he went out on loan so I`ve not really seen a great deal of him but I`ve told him if nothing comes about that suits both of us then he will be coming back for a fresh start to prove what he`s about."      George Purcell (right) scores for Eastbourne at Altrincham
