Southend United v York City

27 October 2012 12:13
York City travel to Southend United aiming for a third victory in a week and a place in the top seven of the table. The Minstermen are without striker Michael Coulson, who has been ruled out for up to two two months following cartilage damage in his knee during the midweek win at Accrington.   Defender Lanre Oyebanjo is back in training after a calf injury but fellow full-back Charlie Taylor has returned to Leeds from a loan spell.    York have also sent out midfielder Lee Bullock on loan to Gateshead for the next month.   "We might look to do some business because we've got a lot of injuries in the forward positions but it's not a crisis," manager Gary Mills told BBC Radio York.   "We've continued our excellent away form from last year and we want to keep it going. The confidence is high.   "They're always a tough side and the pressure is on them to put things right after losing at home on Tuesday."   Southend could give a debut to midfielder Marc Laird after coming in on loan from Leyton Orient.   But Michael Timlin (ankle), Luke Prosser (glute), Mark Phillips (groin), Ryan Leonard (hamstring) and Barry Corr (groin) are current injury doubts.
