Luton Town manager Gary Brabin has confirmed receiving no firm offers for striker and York City target Jason Walker. That follows York chief Gary Mills again expressing his interest in the 27-year-old former Barrow marksman, whom he originally tried to sign when Walker joined the Hatters last October.Walker proceeded to help Luton into the play-offs with five goals in 23 appearances but only started less than half of those games. His immediate future was then brought into further question last week with Brabin increasing his attacking options by signing Aaron O'Connor from crisis club Rushden & Diamonds. "Aaron O’Connor has not come in to replace anyone,” Brabin insisted to the Bedfordshire On Sunday. “Until something official comes in then Jason Walker is still going to be a Luton Town player."There are always lots of rumours surrounding every club and sometimes it’s a bit cat and mouse.”York boss Mills had earlier reportedly claimed that Walker had a special clause inserted in his contract which would allow him to leave Kenilworth Road should a particular fee be offered for his services. However, Brabin responded: “At the minute, I’ve no intention of letting him go but sometimes clubs do things at the time that benefit them.”Walker scored seventeen times last season after a particularly profitable opening three months at Barrow, where he also struck 21 goals during the previous campaign.
