No fears for Lawless

Alex Lawless is certain that his York City side will rise to the challenge when taking on Oxford United for a return to the Football League at Wembley Stadium this weekend. Potentially only ninety minutes separates the Minstermen from reclaiming their Football League place after a six-year absence. And the former Welsh under-21 international believes that his colleagues can take strength from their previous efforts during a season in which they have already beaten most of the top clubs away from Bootham Crescent."We've had a few big games this season and we're all aware how big the two Luton games were," Lawless told BBC Radio York. "So if we approach this game in the same way as that one, that's probably the way to do it."York are likely to be heavily outnumbered in terms of support, although the ex-Forest Green Rovers midfielder thinks that the atmosphere will actually be to the benefit of both teams."The more that's there the better because the atmosphere is going to be better for everyone then," he added."I think sometimes that might work against Oxford then and if we do manage to get on top in the game then I'm sure their fans will get a little bit agitated because of the occasion."I feel our team is pretty good in those situations as well. The lads have been great defending when we're in front so if that is the case that will suit us."  Alex Lawless (right) helped York overcome Luton in their semi-final
