No break for York defender

York City have received a welcome boost with the news that David McGurk's foot injury is not as serious as first thought. The 28-year-old centre-back hobbled out of their midweek draw at Altrincham amidst fears of a broken metatarsal and probably the end of his season. But scans have since confirmed there is no break and that he could soon be back in action .“There’s no break which is good news. There’s still a problem which could be nerve related but he will have an injection in his foot and hopefully that will do the trick," manager Gary Mills told The Press.“Dan Parslow might have to go in there but if, for some reason it becomes longer term with David McGurk, we will address the situation because we’d only have two centre-backs then with Greg Young at Altrincham.”
