McGurk in confident mood

York City defender David McGurk was in confident mood ahead of his side's play-off semi-final first-leg showdown with Luton Town at Bootham Crescent. The Hatters eventually finished as runners-up in the table on the strength of a fourteen-game unbeaten run at the end of the season. But York already had a play-off place wrapped up well in advance of the final weekend and therefore a very tight encounter is expected. Both earlier games between the two sides finished all-square, although York did lead in their clash at Kenilworth Road through Neil Barrett before the home side recovered to equalise."We've played Luton twice this season and we've been underdogs in both games," McGurk told BBC Radio York."I think we've been the better team twice in both the games, so underdogs doesn't make any difference.""All the focus is on promotion. Last season a few of us had a taste of Wembley but this season it's not so much a big a deal getting there," he continued.    "We're not even thinking about Wembley. We're thinking about promotion and that's the big one."The home leg is important. Hopefully we can get a lead going down there. We're proved this season we can hold on to leads, and that we can grind out 1-0 wins and hold on to one-goal leads."We know both games are going to be tight so hopefully we can get to Wembley."
