York City manager Martin Foyle has completed his squad rebuilding by signing trialist goalkeeper David Knight. The 23-year-old arrives from Histon and has previously played for Darlington, Mansfield Town, Swansea City and Oldham Ahtletic after originally beginning as a trainee at Middlesbrough. Knight has impressed whilst appearing for the Minstermen during pre-season, and is regarded as ideal cover to Michael Ingham following the recent departure of Josh Mimms."I have agreed the deal, I have got in writing and he will be here for next season," Foyle told The Press. "I think David is ahead of Josh and he will put pressure on Michael."There will be no more signings," he added. "I have got a budget to work to and the squad is finished. I am more than happy with it."Knight is the second new arrival this week at Bootham Crescent, and follows the confirmed signing of fellow trialist and ex-Kidderminster Harriers winger David McDermott.
