Kidderminster Harriers v York City

24 January 2012 14:04
Promotion rivals Kidderminster Harriers and York City are both locked together in the table and meet tonight in a crucial encounter at Aggborough Stadium.

The Minstermen are missing midfielder Scott Brown after being sent-off on his home debut at the weekend. Brown [right] serves the first of a three-game ban and will probably be replaced by Andre Boucaud.Meanwhile, leading goalscorer Jason Walker is still ruled out through injury for the visitors, which sees the prolific Matty Blair once more leading their attack against his former club.

Kidderminster are the only side to defeat York in seventeen games following an earlier 3-2 victory at Bootham Crescent.“Our home performance against Kidderminster, particularly in the first half, wasn’t good enough,” York manager Gary Mills told The Press. “We never concede three goals in the first half so that showed how poor we were on the night.“We want to put that right but it’s also a massive game with both teams being on the same number of points.“I want everybody in the football club to have the same mindset – we are going there knowing we’ve got to get a result.” Kidderminster are required to make checks on a number of doubtful players before the game with Jack Byrne, James Vincent, Lee Vaughan, Adam Quinn and Joe Day all giving reasons for concern.
