Kerr lashes Barrow approach

York City midfielder Scott Kerr has labelled Barrow as the worst team he has faced in his career.

That follows his side having a couple of players sent-off late on in their tough 0-0 weekend draw in Cumbria.Former Barrow striker Jason Walker was shown a red card for a challenge on James Owen and was soon joined in departing early by midfielder Andre Boucaud.“I’m playing well and enjoying my football but I didn’t enjoy Saturday’s game," Kerr revealed to The Press.."They spoiled it, I’m not going to lie about it, and they are probably the worst team I have ever played against in my career. They go out there with poor tactics, they go out there to kick you. "Their midfielder, who got Jason sent off at the end, was nipping you all game and I told him half way through ‘you are playing in white, not red’ and he said ‘I’m a ratter, not a player’. "That just summed him up for me to be honest," he added. “But I thought we dug in there, we battled and stuck together as a team. It’s a tough place to come."The result marked a second successive scoreless draw for the Minstermen after recently being held at home by joint leaders Wrexham.York have now slipped down to fifth place in the table and behind both Cambridge United and Southport.
