Keep on passing says Mills

York City boss Gary Mills is keen for his side to maintain their passing style as they continue to chase an end-of-season play-off place. Those tactics rather fell away in midweek during a disappointing 0-0 draw at Altrincham after Mills had recalled both Andre Boucaud (right) and Danny Racchi into central midfield. However, neither managed to last the distance and were substituted as the visitors again switched to a 4-4-2 formation in an effort to break down their opponents.“I put two players in on Tuesday night who are more than comfortable with getting the ball and passing it," Mills told The Press. "But, for some reason, they seemed to want to play like Wimbledon all those years ago and get the ball forward as quickly as possible.“I was frustrated by that because that’s not why I put them in the side," he added.“We’ve talked about why we didn’t play as we can and I want the players to be braver and take the ball into good areas and pass it."
