Henderson, 22, scored the equaliser at Mansfield on Boxing Day after being recalled from his loan at Forest Green."It was just good to get match sharp there, but I've come back because of injuries and hopefully I can take my chance," Henderson told BBC Radio York."It's all about playing and that's all I want to do."The former Watford man made several substitute appearances for the Minstermen and started in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round defeat at Wrexham, but, being third in the pecking order behind Jason Walker and Jamie Reed, joined Forest Green on loan on 18 November.On his recall, following injuries to both Walker and Reed, he got on the scoresheet when a mis-hit shot from right-back Lanre Oyebanjo arrived at his feet 15 yards out and he curled home."It was a great shank from Lanre but I think he'll claim an assist," he added."It's another point gained, another point closer to where we want to be."As long as we get three points on New Years Day (when York play Mansfield at home) then we'll be happy all round."Reed was fit enough to play the last 15 minutes at Mansfield, but Henderson hopes he can retain his place for the return fixture."Fingers crossed I've done enough, but you've just got to put the effort in in training and the manager picks his line up from that," he concluded.Source: BBC Sport
