Grays Athletic v York City

York City make a return visit to Grays Athletic tonight after their original fixture was postponed due to the bad weather back in December. Manager Martin Foyle is considering recalling Alex Lawless to the side held by lowly Tamworth at Bootham Crescent on Saturday. "He played 60 minutes in the North Riding Cup and has got a spring in his step, but I will have to decide whether we bring him back or not," Foyle told The Press.“We have played some good stuff in the last three games so, in some ways, you could say he hasn’t been missed too much but, in other respects, you could say he has been."The Minstermen are not expected to make many changes, although the likes of Chris Carruthers, Michael Rankine, Adam Smith and David McGurk are still waiting in the wings.Bottom club Grays haven't won in sixteen games and appear certainties for Blue Square South next season as they are currently seventeen points short of safety with only seven games left.Skipper Harlee Dean returns from a two-match suspension to help their cause, but ex-Rotherham United winger Alex Rhodes is doubtful.Elsewhere, defender Gavin Hoyte (broken toe) and striker Wayne Gray (knee) have already been ruled out for the rest of the season. Foyle was still expecting a difficult challenge despite the desperate situation of their opponents: “They will not be resigned to their fate yet but they have to beat us," he continued. “We know they will have to come at us and they should have beaten Stevenage last week when they worked very hard and did not get much joy in front of goal.”
