Graham joins Kettering

Luke Graham has achieved his wish for a move closer to home after signing a two-year deal with his former club Kettering Town. Graham made 36 appearances for York last season after joining them on loan from Mansfield Town in November.  That move was made permanent until the end of the season two months later, and the 24-year-old in turn eventually helped his new club into the play-offs and desperately close to a return to the Football League. "It's great to be back with my hometown team and I hope I can help push them one place higher," he told Kettering's official website.  "York offered me a two-year contract, but being closer to my home and to my family were important factors."  The Minstermen had already taken steps to fill the void caused by Graham's expected departure and that of fellow defender Ben Purkiss to Oxford United. Altrincham's Greg Young and Duane Courtney from Kidderminster Harriers have both moved to Bootham Crescent since the end of last season, while manager Martin Foyle was still hoping to add up to five more newcomers to his squad.
