Foyle praises Gash

York City manager Martin Foyle was full of praise for striker Michael Gash following the 4-0 victory at bottom-of-the-table Grays Athletic. Top scorer Richard Brodie returned to the goal-trail with a double in between strikes from midfield pair Paul Harsley and Neil Barrett as the visitors consolidated their play-off position."It was a very convincing 4-0 win. It was hard because of the gale-force winds but we had a lot of chances and it was a good finish from Paul Harsley that relaxed us a little bit," Foyle told BBC Radio York."The lads were bright and I thought Michael Gash was outstanding. He had a spring in his step."People think it's all about goals but I brought him here as a hold-up man to bring people into the play and make the team click, and I thought he did that." With no game this coming weekend the Minstermen are next in action on Easter Monday against Altrincham at Bootham Crescent.
