Exeter City v York City

York City take their five-match unbeaten run to Devon as they meet second-placed Exeter City, who are themselves enjoying a fine start to their campaign on their return to the division.

The Minstermen welcome back midfielder Patrick McLaughlin from recent international duty with the Northern Ireland Under-21s.

But striker Jamie Reed has suffered a setback and a recurrence of his hamstring problem and therefore misses out. He joins David McGurk, Scott Kerr, Chris Doig and Oli Johnson on the sidelines - although the latter trio should all resume training next week.

"Like us they lost their first game but they've recovered very well and won their last four," manager Gary Mills told BBC Radio York.

"They'll be playing to go top of the league and we have to make sure that doesn't happen.

"Jason Walker has been playing in fits and spurts but he was back to his form of this time last year last week so I'm really pleased for him.

"It's good to have Patrick (McLaughlin) back and it means a tough decision for me and the coaching staff."

Exeter with four wins out of five since their relegation last season are likely to remain unchanged if veteran forward Jamie Cureton passes a late test on a hamstring injury.
