Eastbourne Borough v York City

Following his hat-trick in midweek, York City's leading scorer Richard Brodie is likely to be left out for the visit to lowly Eastbourne Borough this weekend. Brodie suffered a slight hamstring strain on his way to his second treble of the season against AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday evening, and is expected to make way for either Michael Gash or possibly Richard Pacquette. The England 'C' striker is also just three cautions away from a three-match ban after already being booked twelve times this season. "Brodes came off with a tight hamstring on Wednesday night," manager Martin Foyle told The Press. "He`s got a bit of a strain so we have to be careful with him."His booking situation has also been in my mind ever since his tenth caution so his sore hamstring might just be a blessing."Foyle has already indicated that he will continue to make changes over the course of the final four games of the campaign in preparation for the play-offs that begin later this month.“I will be chopping and changing because it’s been a long season," he added.“The last seven or eight weeks have been very hard. We’ve been doing a lot of travelling and playing midweek non-stop so you need to give people breathers.” Eastbourne will be looking to complete a double following their narrow victory at Bootham Crescent back in February. But Foyle was expecting a very different game this time around and a definite change in approach from the opposition.“I want three points tomorrow and I’m not worried about them because nobody would be worried about us in their position," he continued.“Because of their position, they will have to come at us, which was the last thing on their mind when they came to our place."That will open the game up and we will have chances, as we did on Wednesday night."Skipper Paul Armstrong is sidelined for the hosts with a badly bruised leg, while on loan Northampton Town striker Joe Benjamin and Liam Enver-Marum, who scored the winner when the two sides last met, will contest a starting place in attack. Defender Marc Pullan was also hoping for a recall after returning to action in the Sussex Senior Cup in midweek.
