Dons missing top scorer

AFC Wimbledon will be travelling to York City this weekend without their leading goalscorer Danny Kedwell. In addition to Kedwell, who has already scored twenty-three goals this term, four other players have been ruled out of making the trip for what is a crucial game for both clubs at the top end of the division."We travelled to York today, having to leave behind Danny Kedwell, Nathan Elder, Steven Gregory, Will Hendry and Danny Blanchett," Dons manager Terry Brown told his club's official website. "On a positive note, Brett Johnson is fit and available for selection and is likely to be on the bench tomorrow. Also recovered from illness and injury are Luke Moore, Glenn Poole and Jon Main, all of whom will probably be starting."These new injuries give Ryan Jackson and Jack Stafford the opportunity of experiencing a big game atmosphere at a large, successful northern club," he continued. " With ten games to go the visit to York is a really important game. We have travelled without Danny Kedwell before, to both Barrow and Stevenage, and come away with points and I am confident that we have a strong enough squad to do well tomorrow."The games will come thick and fast from now on in, and hopefully some of the ill and injured players will be available for the home game on Tuesday night."
