York City manager Martin Foyle is hopeful that leading goalscorer Richard Brodie can recover from a calf problem in time to feature for the weekend trip to Forest Green Rovers. The 27-goal striker is available for selection again having completed a three-match ban as a result of his sending-off at Ebbsfleet United last month. However, Foyle revealed that he had been struggling in training with a calf problem: “We have missed Richard Brodie’s energy and ability to get in behind teams but he’s picked up a bit of a calf injury in training because we’ve been pushing him to make sure he’s ready and we’ll have to see how he is for Saturday,” he told The Press. The York boss also disclosed that centre-back Luke Graham will return at the weekend after being rested for the midweek FA Trophy defeat at Barrow. Striker Richard Pacquette could also be handed a rare start following his fourth goal of the campaign at Holker Street.“I was pleased for Richard [Pacquette]," added Foyle. "He stuck his backside in and got down the sides of Barrow, which we have been working on.“We’ve got to get that front-line right because it makes things tick and gives you the chance to score goals.”
