York City's Jon Challinor is relishing his run in the team since getting his chance in the starting line up.

The midfielder was switched to right-back as cover for the injured Lanre Oyebanjo who has been out since September with a hamstring injury. The 30-year-old, who joined York from Kettering, told BBC Radio York: "I'm loving the football again."That's down to the team, the gaffer, the training and it's just getting me back enjoying it."He added: "I started as a right-back in the youth team at Rushton. I soon got pushed out and put further up the field but since the first game I played at right-back I've enjoyed it."I think it's a testament to the team as well, they way we play and the freedom the full-backs get."We're encouraged to go forward, which I love to do anyway."We know where every player is. We know how we want to play and if the players aren't in the positions where we think there should be then there's a problem."We encourage the full backs to get forward. Most teams overcompensate in the middle and we're free."I enjoy that and the more I can get forward the better."Oyebanjo is returning to fitness but Challinor said he his happy to stay at right-back as long as necessary."When I first started playing it I said I'm just keeping it warm for him."Obviously the last 11 games I've played there and like I've said, I'm enjoying it."If the gaffer decides to put Oyebanjo back in, that's his position. I'll just keep doing the job until told otherwise." Source: BBC Sport
