York City midfielder Chris Carruthers is looking forward to putting one over his former club at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. Carruthers only joined the Minstermen in January after a successful loan spell from Oxford United, and has since scored three times in 37 appearances for them, including during their memorable play-off semi-final victory at Luton Town. That in turn booked a play-off final showdown with his former club at Wembley this weekend."Whenever you go back and play a team that you previously played for there's always going to be a slight edge," Carruthers told BBC Radio York."But once the whistle goes for the start it's going to be like any ordinary game. I just want to try and get the best result I can," he added.York are just one game away from a possible return to the Football League after six years cast adrift in the Conference. And the 25-year-old remains confident that they can complete the task in front of what could be a record attendance for a non-league play-off this weekend."This league is very difficult to get out of," he continued. "So that is a massive prize and I think that's the reason why everyone is so focused on getting the job done."I think the way we've performed this season as well has stood us in good stead for some tough games that we've had and I think it will drag us through again."    Chris Carruthers shows his battling qualities against Luton
