Brodie linked with league clubs

York City's leading scorer Richard Brodie is still being reported as interesting Coca-Cola Championship side Sheffield United and League One outfit Carlisle United England 'C' international Brodie has 27 goals to his credit already this season, but is currently serving a three-match ban after being sent-off in the recent defeat at Ebbsfleet United.He originally joined the Minstermen midway through the 2006/07 campaign from Northern League side Newcastle Benfield after impressing against them in an FA Cup tie earlier that season. He scored on his debut for York in a 4-0 win at Altrincham in February 2007.The Gateshead-born marksman had a spell on loan with Barrow last term before returning and finally ending the campaign as top scorer at Bootham Crescent with nineteen league and cup goals.
