Boyes targets Wembley again

Former York City striker Adam Boyes says he can make a real difference to Kidderminster Harriers' promotion bid after joining them on loan. And he was also targeting a return visit to Wembley Stadium. The 19-year-old Scunthorpe United front-runner made his debut as a substitute for Harriers in their midweek draw against Ebbsfleet United. "I looked at the league table and saw Harriers are going for the play-offs and they're in the semi-finals of the FA Trophy," he told the Kidderminster Shuttle."They're a club on the up, so I thought it was good opportunity to come along and play good football."I've just been in the reserves at Scunthorpe but I prefer to be playing more competitive football."It's a good chance to come here and I hope it all goes well." Boyes made an immediate impact for his new club by setting up Brian Smikle for an equaliser against Fleet before almost grabbing a late winner when having an effort cleared off the line by Stefan Bailey."I didn't connect very well with the ball but the shot was going in," he continued."It could have been tapped in by one of the lads but it just went wide. I was trying to get on the scoresheet or create a goal for someone else."Teenager Boyes is available to play for Harriers in their two-legged FA Trophy semi-final with Stevenage Borough after being part of the York side that lost to the same opponents in last year's Wembley final. He added: "I'd love to play at Wembley again because it's the biggest experience I've ever had."Just to play there again would be amazing, although a win this time would be brilliant."
