Sweeney ends Glovers stay

Yeovil Town boss Russell Slade has opted to allow Peter Sweeney to end his loan stay at Huish Park and return to Stoke City.

The 22-year-old midfielder initially signed for the Glovers at the end of January and has made eight appearances for the League One play-off chasers.

However, he has failed to start a game since the 4-2 defeat at Port Vale almost two months ago.

The former Scotland Under-21 international has made 35 appearances for Stoke City since moving to the Britannia Stadium from Millwall in the summer of 2005.
