Smith plays down move talk

Yeovil Town defender Nathan Smith is relishing a return to action, as he bids to build on a superb start to his career at Huish Park.

The 21-year-old former Potters Bar left-back has been out of action for a month with a groin injury, having impressed since joining the Glovers earlier this year.

Smith has even been checked out by the likes of Aston Villa and Portsmouth, but he insists he is taking one step at a time.

He told the Western Daily Press: "Obviously it's nice to hear that clubs are interested in you, but I've got a job to do here playing for Yeovil.

"If anything comes of it the gaffer will let me know, but I can't let it bother me and I've just got to concentrate on getting fit and playing well."
