Slade pleased with Begovic

Yeovil Town boss Russell Slade has praised goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, who is set to finish an impressive three-month loan spell with the League One strugglers.

The 21-year-old will return to parent club Portsmouth after the weekend clash with Oldham Athletic, having shown up well during his time at Huish Park.

Slade told the Western Daily Press: "He came on loan to us for three games last season and did smashing, but Harry Redknapp called him back.

"We didn't hesitate to take him on loan when we couldn't afford to keep Steve Mildenhall with us.

"To have him back was great, but he has taken a little bit more time to settle this time around.

"But he's only 20 and he loves to work and he is starting to hit the form that he showed last year."
