Slade lands himself in hot water

The Football Association has charged Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade with improper conduct.

The former Scarborough and Grimsby Town boss directed some critical comments towards the referee after his side's 2-1 defeat against Southend United earlier this month.

The Glovers ended the match with nine men after having Danny Schofield and Gary Roberts sent off, although Schofield had his red card rescinded after an appeal.

Slade said after the game: "The referee had a bad day at the office. I asked him to look at the video and he said he didn't need to. That was arrogant."
