Slade keen to strengthen

Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade has admitted he is desperate to strengthen his squad with loan signings following a spate of injuries.

The Glovers lost veteran striker Marcus Stewart to injury in Tuesday's 1-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat by Swansea City and Slade claims he is down to the bare bones.

"I am down to my last 16," he said. "We have a board meeting and hopefully we are going to get the go-ahead to strengthen the squad.

"It would be nice to bring in a forward figure or maybe a wide figure.

"We are disappointed to lose because it was our one realistic opportunity perhaps of going back to Wembley."
