Slade closes in on new keeper

Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade is on the verge of snapping up Canadian goalkeeper Josh Wagenaar, who has been on trial at Huish Park for the last few weeks. The 23-year-old, who started his career in his homeland with St Catherine's Wolves and Hamilton Sparta, spent the 2006-07 campaign with Dutch club Den Haag and last season in Denmark with Lyngby. Slade told the Glovers' official website: "We're close to signing Josh, but as he's Canadian there are several bits of red tape that need to be addressed. "I'm hopeful that we'll have the deal tied up by the end of the week."
