Owusu handed scan boost

Yeovil Town striker Lloyd Owusu has allayed fears that he suffered a broken leg during Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Crewe.

Owusu, 31, has been told he must wait for the swelling to go down to assess the full extent of the injury, but has revealed his relief that there is no break to contend with.

"I had X-rays and scans last night and there is no break, which is good news," he told the club's official website.

"I shall now have to wait for the swelling to go down and see just how bad the bruising is.

"I haven't set a date as to when I will be back, but I'll be in with (physio) Jim Joyce tomorrow for further treatment and we will have to wait for that."
