Kirk opts for Scotland return

Yeovil Town forward Andy Kirk has opted to return to Scotland after spending the last four seasons in England.

The 29-year-old left Hearts in the summer of 2004 and scored 21 goals in 31 appearances for Boston United before sealing a transfer to Northampton Town.

He continued his good scoring record at Sixfields, finding the net 36 times in 95 starts for the Cobblers before Glovers boss Russell Slade snapped up the forward in this year's January transfer window.

However, after scoring four goals in 19 games for Town, Kirk has opted to sign a three-year contract with Dunfermline Athletic.
