Yeovil Town will continue their promotion push without Nathan Jones who is likely to be sidelined for three weeks after being told he needs to have surgery on his troublesome groin injury.
The 33-year-old former Brighton defender aggravated the problem in the 4-2 defeat at Port Vale.
"Nathan will have to go for the operation because the pain has become a bit too much," Glovers boss Russell Slade told the Western Daily.
"He'll be out of action for about three weeks, which is a bit unfortunate for us.
"It's probably the right time to do it, though, because we have Martin Cranie until the end of the month, so we have options."
