Injuries force Way to quit

Long-serving Yeovil Town midfielder Darren Way has been forced to retire from the game as a result of injuries sustained in a car crash back in December 2008. The 30-year-old, whose injuries were life-threatening at the time, has joined the coaching staff as Huish Park. He told the club's official website: "It is hard to accept because playing football is one of the best jobs in the world, but I can't do it anymore. "Making this announcement has been causing me a lot of sleepless nights and so, in one way, it is a weight off my mind. "The fans have been great, but they've kept asking me if I was going to be playing again. "I was trying everything I could to make that happen, but I knew deep down that it wouldn't."
