Glovers switch for Cooper

Cardiff City winger Kevin Cooper has joined Yeovil Town on a one-month loan deal in a bid to get some first-team action.

The 31-year-old has not played a single Championship game this term after missing much of pre-season with a knee problem, but Glovers boss Russell Slade is pleased to have him on board as cover for the injured Lee Morris.

"Bringing somebody in with the experience that Kevin Cooper's got with his left foot is good," Slade told Town's official website.

"It's a positive step for us. I want to keep the momentum going and someone like Kevin from Cardiff City is just the recipe really.

"He's very comfortable on the ball, he's a good crosser of the ball and he's an intelligent player.

"He's sure to play his role during the month that he's with us and we hope that he enjoys his stay here."

Cooper is a veteran of over 320 League appearances during spells with Derby County, Stockport County, Wimbledon, Wolves, Sunderland, Norwich City and Cardiff.
