Yeovil Town have opted not to appeal against the sending off of young midfielder Stephen Maher in the goalless draw at Gillingham last weekend.
The 20-year-old Irishman was dismissed a matter of minutes after coming on as a substitute at Priestfield, having committed a two-footed tackle on Gills forward Simon King.
The Glovers had mulled over asking the FA to review the incident, but boss Russell Slade feels that they could have risked an extension of Maher's three-match suspension.
He said: "It could be slightly harsh on him, but in the current climate the fact of the matter is he took off and his feet were off the floor at impact.
"We would be very, very hard-pushed to overturn it."
