Glovers seal double signing

Yeovil Town have strengthened their squad with the loan signings of Derby County striker Aleksander Prijovic and Swansea City midfielder Shaun MacDonald.

Glovers boss Russell Slade currently has a number of injuries to contend with and has turned to Serbian striker Prijovic, who has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Rams.

MacDonald has made 34 appearances for the Swans to date, but has not started a game since mid-November.

Glovers chief executive, Martyn Starnes, had earlier admitted that the club were keen to bolster their struggling squad to avoid being sucked into a relegation battle.

He told the club's official website: "We appreciate the problems that Russell has at present and have given him the nod to bring in some loan players to supplement the players he has available."
