Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade hopes to extend Leon Best's loan stay at Huish Park, but insists any agreement with Southampton is still to be confirmed.
The 20-year-old striker has scored seven goals in ten games for the Glovers since arriving at the club two months ago.
"The situation with Leon is as it was over a week ago," Slade told Town's official website. He's still here until the 3rd of February.
"We're in dialogue with Southampton and we'd love him to stay for at least another month, if not longer.
"So we'll have to wait and see, but I think that it will be a last-minute call anyway, so there's no panic over it as yet."
