Glovers close in on Stewart

Yeovil Town have received permission from Bristol City to make the loan stay of Marcus Stewart at Huish Park into a permanent transfer.

The veteran striker has netted five times since signing for the Glovers in September.

The 34-year-old's three-month loan stay ends this week, but following a meeting between Yeovil and Bristol City officials, Stewart is expected to move to the Somerset club on a permanent transfer.

Robins chairman Steve Lansdown told the club's official website: "From Saturday's discussions it's fair to say ourselves and Yeovil are in agreement with regards to the way forward and now it is up to Yeovil to speak to Marcus."
