Fry hails Stew arrival

Yeovil Town chairman John Fry has hailed the permanent signing of striker Marcus Stewart as a major coup for the League One club.

The 34-year-old has impressed on loan at Huish Park and has opted to make a permanent switch from Bristol City.

Fry told the Western Daily Press: "We're glad to have got him here, because having someone with his profile will probably help us attract other players to the club.

"There are plenty of clubs that wanted Marcus.

"We wanted him more than anybody else and believe that the ambition shown by the club and what we had to offer appealed to him.

"We know his age factor, but we all feel that he has at least two good years left in him."
