Eaves to drop into Glovers XI

Yeovil are set to name Tom Eaves in their starting line-up for the visit of high-flying Preston.

The 22-year-old striker, who was borrowed from Bolton on Thursday, has been registered in time to face North End and with Jordy Hiwula having returned to Manchester City after his loan spell came to an early end, Eaves is likely to start at Huish Park.

Boss Gary Johnson saw his side end a long wait for a home win in the FA Cup and then pick up their first league victory since mid-September at Notts County last Saturday so he could make Eaves his only change to the starting line-up.

Johnson looks set to be without second-choice goalkeeper Artur Krysiak, who picked up an injury in training earlier this week, while Ben Nugent serves his one-game suspension for picking up five yellow cards this season.

Preston are without 12-goal leading scorer Joe Garner, but have brought in young front man Bradley Fewster on loan.

Striker Garner suffered a knee injury in last weekend's 1-0 win at Bristol City and is set to be sidelined for three to four months, but Jermaine Beckford made his debut for North End on loan in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at Oldham.

Callum Robinson has been recalled by Aston Villa, making the arrival of Middlesbrough and England Under-19s starlet Fewster a timely boost

Thorsten Stuckmann continued between the posts at Boundary Park in midweek, but Alan Browne (hamstring), Andy Little (calf) and Bailey Wright (groin) remained absent.
