Lawrence missing for Glovers

Yeovil will be without Tom Lawrence when they host Middlesbrough on Saturday lunchtime.

The Manchester United loanee has made 19 appearances for the Glovers since arriving in January but he will now try and impress interim boss Ryan Giggs at Old Trafford prompting Yeovil boss Gary Johnson to confirm the player's non-involvement against Boro.

Johnson could shuffle his pack for their final match before relegation back to League One with the likes of Liam Davis, Kevin Dawson and Sam Foley pushing for starts.

The Glovers' last home win came back on March 8 prior to a run of five Championship games without victory at Huish Park.

Middlesbrough head coach Aitor Karanka will make a series of late decisions ahead.

Full-back George Friend missed last weekend's 3-1 home win over Barnsley with a groin injury and he is being assessed after treatment. The same applies to midfielder Grant Leadbitter, who also sat out the game at the Riverside Stadium because of a back problem.

Striker Kei Kamara is back in training after hernia surgery but it remains to be seen whether or not Karanka is prepared to risk him, while defenders Rhys Williams (Achilles) and Stuart Parnaby (knee) and frontman Muzzy Carayol (anterior cruciate ligament) remain on the long-term casualty list.

Midfielder Dean Whitehead is fit but has 14 bookings to his name this season and one more could see him miss the first three games of the new campaign through suspension.
