Johnson hopes to tie up Dolan deal

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson hopes to seal a loan deal for Middlesbrough midfielder Matthew Dolan in time for the visit of Leyton Orient.

Boro's Under-21 captain watched the Glovers' 2-1 win over Portsmouth on Saturday from the stands and Johnson hopes Dolan can arrive in time to boost his threadbare squad.

The Londoner is also keen to bring another player present at Fratton Park, playmaker Kaby Djalo, to the club and described the free agent as "a smaller version of Pele."

"He was at Chelsea, Jose Mourinho had bought him in and he has just come back from Cyprus," Johnson told This is Somerset.

Yeovil are already short on numbers and will have to manage without Carlisle loanee Paddy Madden, whose stay at Huish Park ended after the victory over Pompey, while Sam Foley failed to recover from his hamstring injury in time to feature at the weekend.

Orient boss Russell Slade has no new selection issues ahead of the trip.

The O's bounced back from the defeat to Scunthorpe - that ended an eight-match winning run in all competitions - by beating Walsall 2-1 on Saturday.

Moses Odubajo scored an 87th-minute winner to move Orient to within five points of the play-off places.

Slade is unlikely to make too many changes but has Michael Symes available if he decides to freshen things up.

The striker returned to the bench at the weekend following a hamstring injury that had seen him miss the Scunthorpe game.

Jamie Jones should continue in goal after making a number of important saves during his first start since August following a shoulder injury.
