Kean in line for Glovers bow

Yeovil could throw Jake Kean into action against Crewe just over 24 hours after his arrival at Huish Park.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper joined on loan from Blackburn on a one-month loan on Monday and has been given the green light to make his Glovers debut immediately.

Kean's debut would come in place of Chris Weale who apologised to his team-mates after the final whistle on Saturday having made a costly mistake in their defeat at Coventry.

Boss Gary Johnson could also make changes to his outfield positions and he will assess James Hayter and Joe Edwards who were both subbed off at the Ricoh Arena as precautions following injury concerns.

Steve Davis expects to select from a similar squad to Saturday when Crewe make the long trip to Yeovil.

After five losses the Alex finally got their first league win of the season on Saturday against neighbours Port Vale and Davis will be keen to select a similar starting line-up.

On-loan midfielder Jamie Ness was an unused substitute but could play a role having returned to the club following hamstring and thigh problems.

Defender Harry Davis (knee) and forward Ryan Colclough (hernia) remain the Railwaymen's two long-term absentees.
