Burn blow for Glovers

Yeovil will be without defender Dan Burn when they welcome Crewe to Huish Park.

The Fulham loanee has returned to his parent club Fulham for treatment on an ankle ligament injury he picked up in their 2-0 win over Stevenage last weekend.

It means the centre-back, who missed their last match through suspension, is touch and go for the npower League Two play-offs which the Glovers are certain to be involved in.

Manager Gary Johnson responded to Burn's injury by extending the loan spell of central defender Vitalijs Maksimenko from Brighton.

The Latvian made his debut for Yeovil on Tuesday night as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 loss to Oldham at Boundary Park.

Striker Jordan Cook is still with Charlton receiving treatment for his injury and will once again miss out as Yeovil look to get back to winning ways with the play-offs now just two weeks away.

Crewe defender Mark Ellis is a major doubt for the trip.

Ellis made way at half-time due to an ankle problem during Tuesday night's 4-1 defeat at Crewe and replacement George Ray could be set for his second senior start at centre-back.

Goalkeeper Steve Phillips is fit to travel after missing the last two matches with a dead leg sustained in last week's 2-0 loss to Brentford and could replace Alan Martin between the posts.

Alex skipper Luke Murphy is unlikely to feature once more due to his groin problem but fellow midfielder Abdul Osman is ready to return following a two-match ban.

Top scorer Mathias Pogba (thigh) and defender Gregor Robertson (Achilles) are out for the season, while Adam Dugdale remain on compassionate leave.
