Strikers should return for Yeovil

Yeovil manager Gary Johnson will be hoping for a change of fortune for his side when they entertain Birmingham in the Capital One Cup.

Three straight league defeats, including one against the Blues on August 10, could see Johnson ring the changes.

Yeovil's regular strikeforce of Paddy Madden and James Hayter are expected to return after they were left out against Derby at the weekend as Johnson opted for a five-man midfield.

Glovers captain Jamie McAllister faces a late check on a knee problem that has forced him to sit out his side's first five games.

Goalkeeper Darren Randolph is a doubt for Birmingham.

Randolph sustained a blow to the nose and a gashed finger during Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Leicester and is likely to be rested, with back-up Colin Doyle having started the first-round victory over Plymouth. Youngster Nick Townsend is set to take his place on the bench.

Winger Shane Ferguson (groin) will definitely play no part having been forced off at the weekend, neither will Mitch Hancox (ankle), Akwasi Asante (hamstring) or Nikola Zigic (back).

Blues will be hoping for a repeat of their 1-0 Championship success at Huish Park earlier this month.
