Morgan on the spot for Glovers

Adam Morgan climbed off the bench to snatch an injury-time equaliser from the spot as Yeovil drew 2-2 with Gillingham.

The Gills led through goals from John Marquis and Luke Norris but Yeovil remain rooted to the bottom despite Gozie Ugwu's first-half finish and Morgan's last-ditch penalty.

Yeovil seemed in no mood to roll over and their lively start resulted in the opener after 21 minutes when the in-form Ugwu found himself behind the static Gills back line from Byron Webster's flick-on to pick his spot.

Cody McDonald should have pulled Gillingham level after 40 minutes with a header which flew just wide, before Ugwu and James Hayter both fluffed chances to stretch Yeovil's lead.

Doug Loft then struck a fierce 49th-minute free-kick which Artur Krysiak could only parry allowing Marquis to gobble up the rebound.

In the 87th minute substitute Norris' driving run and low strike looked to have put paid to plucky Yeovil.

But one minute into the four added on, Joel Grant was felled by Gavin Hoyte and ex-Liverpool man Morgan - on his long-awaited return to the side - grabbed the ball and confidently blasted home.
